Bonjour à tous!
Hier, mardi 11 Mai, Johan reconduisait ses excuses après la sortie pour le moins chahutée du DLC Leviathan. Pour rappel ce dernier a établi un record sur Steam en devenant le produit le plus mal noté de tous les temps avec le score inouï de 7% d'avis positifs, une bonne moitié de ces derniers étant pour le moins sarcastiques... Suite à quoi le patch 1.31.3 a été annoncé, les notes de mise à jour publiées ce matin et le patch mis en ligne cet après-midi. Vous trouverez les notes du patch 1.31.3 en bas d'article mais nous allons tout d'abord revenir sur le second
Mea culpa
de Johan:
"Leviathan aura été l'une de nos pires sorties pour EU4, faisant suite à une longue série de lancements de piètre qualité depuis Golden Century.
En tant que Directeur de studio et du jeu, en fin de compte il en va de ma responsabilité, et je dois donc m'excuser pour cela. C'est entièrement de ma faute.
J'aurais dû reporter le développement de Leviathan jusqu'à ce que nous ayons les ressources suffisantes, et que l'équipe ait le temps nécessaire afin de pourvoir s'intégrer correctement au projet. Nous aurions dû annoncer une pause dans le développement d'EU4 après la sortie d'Emperor, le temps que nous ayons une équipe prête à créer et travailler début 2021.
Nous allons partiellement changer nos plans pour le reste de cette année. Nous avions prévu de corriger un certain nombre de bugs avant de faire une pause dans le développement de nouvelles extensions pour EU4. Nous accélérons ces plans et nous nous assurerons que la communauté puisse en bénéficier régulièrement.
L'arrivée du patch 1.31.3 est prévue pour cette semaine, et nous avons pour objectif de sortir le suivant entre fin Mai et début Juin. Nous avons pour objectif de délivrer plusieurs patchs supplémentaires jusqu'à la fin de l’année.
Il s'agit là bien entendu d'une première expansion compliquée pour l'équipe et le studio, mais c'est loin d'être terminé. Nous avons recruté un groupe de personnes admirables et passionnées par le jeu, afin de développer Paradox Tinto, qui assureront un avenir radieux à Europa Universalis."
Il précise suite à cela dans le fil de discussion qu'il est évident que travailler sur un jeu neuf serait sans le moindre doute plus facile, que, sur un EU4 congestionné année après année par l'empilement des mécaniques. Aussi, le développement de nouvelles expansions pour EU4 n'est pas remis en question, il est simplement ajourné en attendant que l'équipe finisse d'être constituée et que la dette technique du jeu soit réduite, les bugs allant avec également.
Enfin, il rassure sur le traitement actuel de son équipe. Ils ne sont pas en surmenage dans le but de réparer les dégâts, en revanche le personnel a été réaffecté à des tâches plus urgentes que le développement de nouvelles fonctionnalités.

- Force religion is no longer free after you pillage the capital. Force religion is a cost per unit dev; so is pillage state (except you're not pillaging all the dev). So, if you choose Force Religion and Pillage, the cost will be the same as selecting Force Religion only (because the total dev that's being affected is the same - you're changing religion on 80% and pillaging the other 20%, or you're changing religion on 100%); but if you choose Pillage only then the war score cost will be lower (20% of the total dev cost).
- Grazing the land in enemy territory will now give tribal development.
- Fixed Manchu banners bonuses not working.
- Mandala system now available with either Leviathan or Dharma.
- Old heir dying now means any extended regency is cancelled.
- Fixed bug with Parliament issues not being persisted.
- Sikhism events now change gurus, and you can't add multiple teachings by not accepting on the dialog.

- Fixed performance issue selecting armies that can do autonomous carpet siege in big areas.

- Fixed issue where you couldn't rename the area capital.
- The modifier "guru_teaching" has now a proper localization.

- Added a new condition so a TAG is affected by the Counter Revolution triggered modifier if any country is revolutionary and it is either in its same continent or if they share a border.
- Fixed some issues with burgundian inheritance.
- Fixed exploit for not picking the first reform as republics giving you massive absolutism.
